春野藤(池田エライザ)の大学時代の友人、堀川美和(佐藤玲)は、大阪で一人暮らしをしているが、事情により一時的に滋賀の実家に帰ることに。 そこで美和は大阪で飼っている亀の世話を藤にお願いをする。藤自身も仕事の都合上、長期有休消化という流れでこれ幸いと、美和の家で過ごすことになる。 また、SNS で植草千明(田口トモロヲ)が関西の名建築巡りをしていることを知っていた藤は、千明に大阪にいることを伝え一緒に名建築でランチをすることになる。 二人が久しぶりの再会を果たしたのは昭和 7 年に日本綿業俱楽部の建物として開館した「綿業会館」。昭和初期、大阪では紡績業が栄え、人口は東京よりも多く、世界でも第 6 位の巨大都市だった。そ の頃を“大大阪時代”と呼び、当時建設された多くの建築が今もなお残っている。藤は綿業会館の繊細 かつ壮大な造りに感銘を受ける。
